Environmental Setup

• The app should be used indoors, in a quiet environment with moderate ambient lighting.
• Set the device’s screen brightness to around 50% to ensure appropriate illuminance for the test.
• Make sure the screen is clean.

Hints:
This app can remember its preferred brightness setting. Go to Settings > Brightness to set the app’s brightness independently from your device’s system brightness. Since the app is typically used at a distance greater than arm’s reach, a brighter white background is appropriate.

Voice Hint and Headphones

When Voice Hint is enabled, the app will speak the optotype shown on the current chart. This allows the "doctor" to know what is displayed while observing the "patient’s" response. This feature is especially useful for the Tumbling E Chart and Landolt C Chart, where responses may be gestural rather than spoken.

However, since the "patient" might also hear the voice hint, it's recommended that the "doctor" wear headphones connected to the device.
